Community Contribution: We sponsored the collaborative park project at Ueda Citizens' Forest Park as a Future Support Partner.
We are pleased to announce that we have joined a collaborative project involving citizens, businesses, and the local government to promote the development and related projects of obstacle sports facilities at the Citizens' Forest Park in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, where our Ueda Plant is located, and that we have sponsored this project as a Future Support Partner.
This project is more than just developing sports facilities; it is a meaningful initiative that aims to build a new regional revitalization model that spans education, health, tourism, and the local economy, centering on obstacle sports, which are attracting global attention as next-generation sports. There are high expectations that it will serve as a place for health promotion where everyone from children to adults can become healthy in both mind and body, and as a training base for athletes aiming for the world stage.
Obstacle sports, which have gained popularity mainly in Europe and North America and boast over 2000 million participants worldwide, are attracting increasing attention, including their official inclusion as a new event in the modern pentathlon at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Following the installation of the "Obstacle Box" in 2025, preparations are currently underway for the first obstacle course (NINJA course) on Honshu Island. With obstacle sports at its core, this park, which has long been a beloved part of the community, aims to create new value and contribute to the sustainable development of the region by promoting the healthy growth and well-being of children.
Through our participation in this co-creation project, we will contribute to the creation of a new regional revitalization model through the popularization of obstacle sports, and as part of our efforts to promote "health management," we will support the health improvement of our employees and their families. We will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of local communities.
